Modifications/Other/Extras:
I don’t really do anything special to my bike. I just rock it how it comes.
Which parts do you go through the most?
I would have to say grips. If it’s just wearing through them, or the bike rack falling off the car on the freeway and melting them off, I would have to go with grips.
Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I run a pretty tall setup. I rock the top load and big bars to lift the front end up.
What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
Grips for sure. I have to have thin grips or it just kills me. I hate the way huge grips feel—it’s just weird to me.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Yeah! I had an all chrome Schwinn predator. Then it got stolen from my backyard so my mom got me the same one again and I still have it to this day.
How are things since you got put on Haro? Any plans with them you can tell us about?
Things are awesome with Haro. I’m super stoked on the team and everyone there. They treat me super good and I hope to be a part of it for a long time. Steve Woodward and I are heading to Rays for the odd couple contest on Jan. 27 for a couple days. I’m on Phil Sundbaum’s team, and it is just a three-day filming mission and on that Saturday they pick the best video. It’s going to be so sick!
Any tips on keeping your bike looking fresh when traveling a lot? I know cramming everything in a bike bag can take its toll on your paint job and parts…
I usually just put some towels in there and wrap my pedals in socks. That is probably the best thing I can think of for keeping my paint looking o so good!
