Today was a practice day for the 20 riders that are going to compete in the first ever Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro. We shot a handful of photos of riders like Daniel Dhers, Chase Hawk, Dennis Enarson, and others shredding the course and preparing for the four day event…
The shindig is set to go down tomorrow through Sunday (July 23-26) at the U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California. The ramps have literally been set up on the sand, just a stone’s throw away from the crashing waves in Surf City.
We will be on hand at the contest each day bringing you photos, videos, and results, so stay tuned all weekend for the crazy action that is sure to ensue. Until the big show starts, go ahead and scope out these photos from today’s practice session.

The roster for the Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro is final, featuring twenty top global riders including Garrett Reynolds, Rob Darden, and Dennis Enarson. The uniquely formatted park event will be touching down on the Southside of the Huntington Beach Pier, July 23-26th during the US Open of Surfing.
Automatic invites went to the top 10 Dew Tour Park riders, who voted for five additional riders to participate. The final five riders were chosen by global BMX fans via an online contest hosted by Vital BMX.

All twenty riders will compete in three qualification rounds, accumulating cash and points daily. $3,600 will be distributed each round and the top ten riders with the most points, will qualify for the finals, vying for an additional $30,000. Qualification rounds run Thursday, July 23rd through Saturday, July 25th. The finals will go down on Sunday, July 26th at 2:00 PM.
