If you keep up on things, then you know sometimes things get heated between riders, but damn, Bohan punching Doyle? This is a whole other level of drama. But, I shit you not, we were just sitting around in a UCI courtyard waiting for Allan Cooke to drop a duece, and Doyle is going on and on (and on and on) about his recent double-up front and back cover of this month’s Ride. I mean, it’s cool that it worked out like that, but Chris kept pulling out his personal copy and spreading his wings to make sure everyone caught an eye of the front/back Doyle featurette. Still waiting for Allan, I pulled out my camera to shoot a quick portrait of Chris, when one more “who’s the king of exposure?” comment from Chris finally made Bohan lose it. I can’t even begin to describe the scene…a police van, women losing their tops, Allan trying to break it up with his pants around his ankles, Eric the DC Shoes team manager breaking down in tears. It was crazy.
Or at least that’s what I’ve come up with…
