2009 Toronto BMX Jam Final Results

Wow, another contest weekend has come to a close. While the Toronto BMX Jam didn’t have a super unique street course or cutting edge ramp setup, the backyard style ramps proved to be enough to make an incredible event with new tricks and wild bangers being thrown out in the finals. Look below for the final results for all classes and a quick list of highlights.

Highlights & Stand Out Moments:
- The 14 and under class was really entertaining to watch. Gabe Traux won by a landslide with big tailwhips and plenty of style moves. Also 12 year old Ian Bradley did a ton of box jump variations that all ended in a can-can lander.
- The ladies class went off today. Nina Buitrago did her usual stylish toboggans and stretched nothings over the box to take the win for a second year in a row. South Korea’s Mini Park did a nice turndown and an x-up over the box. Jessica Ausec barspun the box and did a 270 to smith stall on the box lip, and Angie Marino did a 360 over the box after flowing around with smooth style all day.
- Zane Bradley kicked off his run in the am class with a 540 a few feet out of the 10 foot quarter. He also did a big tuck no-hander transfer that he later tried to 540. This kid is amazing…can’t wait to see him progress in the next few years.
- Ian Christison did another nothing drop in off the wall and aired the hip about four times as high as anyone throughout the weekend. He also did a 180 over the spine, then a fakie nothing on the quarter.
- Zak Jarvis won the am class with big moves like a tailwhip to double peg on the sub wall.
- Brian Hunt took the win for the pro class by blasting the 10 foot quarter like no other and tricking over the sub rail with a bunch of combos including a double whip.
- Drew Bezanson rode like his usual self, which is always amazing. He started off once again with a truck into the quarter off the sub wall and ended with a fufanu to tailwhip on the sub rail.
- Garrett Reynolds had the trick of the day with a…pay attention close… Tuck no-hander to barspin up the sub wall to manual around the wall to 180 barspin off the wall into the bank, pulling the roll out smooth. Holy shit man, it was seriously amazing.
- Charlie Bowers did a flip whip and 360 whipped down the step down.
- Brandon Dosch did an opposite 360 double whip on the first box and nearly pulled a 360 double downside whip on the second box right after. He also did a double whip off the big wall, but blew a foot off.
- Once again Charlie Crumlish had amazing original style and super unique tricks including a 720 tire tap to drop in off the wall.
- Andre Postell did a front flip drop in off the wall.
