Alex Jumelin is hosting a huge flatland contest in Paris this April and it looks like it is going to be one of the best flat comps of the year…
The Ninja Spin is back!
Hi everybody, let me introduce you the Riviera Ninja spin, an international flatland contest taking place in Monte-Carlo on April 11-12. After many successful times in Paris, Alex Jumelin choose an new location for his event: the famous Stars ´N´ Bar, situated on Monaco´s harbour.
There will be all categories:
- Pro: 10000 euros prize money (biggest of the year)
The location of the contest is the famous Stras´nBars , a huge restaurant/club located on Monaco´s harbour. Check on google map: 6 Quai Antoine 1er, 98000 Monaco.
Monaco´s train station (gare sncf de monaco) is very close to the spot, about 1km. It takes 20 min to go to Nice by train and about 25 min by car. Nice is a big french city , full of cheap hotels.
People are a little bit scared when they hear Monaco because they think there´s no way to get there without spending a lot of money, which is a very false idea. Monaco´ s supermarket is a way cheaper than Paris average supermarket, one hour in a public monaco parking: 50cts at night, for example…
About the accomodation, the hotels in downtown Monaco are very expensive but it´s very easy to get a cheap hotel taking the train to Nice or the car along the coast. There is a list of hotels on the website.
The closest airport is Nice côte d´ azur international airport. There will be shuttle from the airport to the contest place. If you are interested, please send us your arrival time ( to: email@example.com ) because we need to organise a schedule to take care of everybody.
The flatland area in front of the Stars´n´bars is huge, so we will make a practice and a contest area, then everybody can warm up or train even during the runs. There will be some media towers and some benchs for the crowd.
Flatland got very lucky once again with a very unexpected location, there s a big contrast between our “underground” sport/art and the highlights of the most exclusive city/kingdom of the world.
The Stars´n´bars team is very confident with this event and really wants to trust BMX Flatland, they offer us a big time!!!
With many successful times in Paris, Alex Jumelin decided to get involved again in contest organisation because this is certainly the most important for our sport. Beside internet, forums, videos, magazine, people organise events to gather people, to have good time and to get a media coverage which is essential.
Of course, there will be many surprises and entertainment, big parties, what riders need…
Come to support Flatland to what´ s annouced like the best flatland contest ever!!!
