Which parts do you go through the most?
I usually go through pedals, tires, and handlebars the most. I tend to go down a lot and it bends my bars. Or maybe that’s because I’m more than 200 pounds and I land flat a lot.
Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I like my bike to be a little longer than usual because of my height. I don’t like it to be too light either. I like my bike to be balanced and when I throw it around the weight will continue the motion. I run a 48-hole rear wheel because I would blow up 36 holes in a month.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Well there are two. My first “real” BMX bike was a sweet ass stolen PK Ripper with a gold brake lever. I don’t even remember what parts were on it or anything. My first bike I actually got for freestyle was a DK SOB with the heaviest of everything! Profile SS cranks, 48 hole 14mm Alex triple walls front and rear, DK Iron Cross sprocket and pedal combo, and a S&M first generation Redneck stem. My bike had to be more than 50 pounds…
You seem to switch your setup quite a bit with brakes, no brakes, cassette hub, freecoaster, etc… What is the motive behind your current setup?
Well I haven’t gone brakeless in a while. I would like to soon, I think. My current setup is basically just to get stuff done for the new Eastern team video that we are currently filming for. I have a lot of tricks on the list that are new and require brakes. The video is going to be awesome. Look out for it around Interbike ‘09.
Why no barends?
Well I know this is a bad excuse and I probably deserve to get gutted by them, but I am lazy and haven’t put any in for like three months. I’ll do it right now. Karma will get me if I don’t.
How often do you build a new bike and do you start from scratch or replace parts as needed?
I haven’t started from scratch in a very long time. I usually ride the biggest pile of crap but it seems when I’m around you I have a new frame and some new goodies. I just put stuff together or replace stuff when it is extremely needed. I don’t like to ask too much of my sponsors because they do a lot for me already. If I can ride it, then I don’t ask.

Very cool…props for not abusing your sponsorship too…I’m pretty sure I would…but I’m a bad person, so I have an excuse.
