How-to and photos by Bobby Dulaney.
Most of you know how to wax a ledge, but if you want to get a little creative and all you have are some crayons and a handful of used candles, this how-to should help. Bobby Dulaney shows you how to make a solid piece of wax out of old, used bits.
Step 1:
You will need to scrounge up all your used wax, crayons, candles, and find a soda can and something to cut with. Begin breaking, crushing, stomping or pummeling the wax items into small pieces. Now, carefully cut off the top off the soda can and and turn your stove on to about medium/high temperature. For most stoves, the soda can should fit right inside the center of the stove.
Step 2:
Slowly drop the pieces of wax chunks into the hot soda can (should be hot by now).
Step 3:
Finally, take the can of hot wax and put it in your freezer for around half an hour. Once cooled, stick a hole in the bottom of the can, that way you can pull that funny shaped part off at the end, other wise the suction will make it hard. Just grab a corner of the can, with scissors, and peel it away (BE CAREFUL,THE EDGES OF THE CAN ARE VERY SHARP!)
Now you can go wax that foot tall ledge and learn all your burly street moves! Yeah, siiiiick, brah!

ive done that
but the best thing to do is to go to walmart
and pick up parifan wax its like 4 bucks
and comes in like 4 little bricks
but its very soft and oily but its very slick
you will use alot of it to wax anything but its twice as
slick as crayons and just as good as some of the good
skater ledge wax

It works even better if you put a little bit of cooking oil in the wax as well, makes it softer and grind faster

haha. when i was little i wanted to make skate wax so i cut a can in half and then tried to mix cooking oil and wax to make it really slick but when i tried to put the oil in i spilled it on the stove and FIRE! almost burnt down the house.
then i tried again outside over a bon fire and made the wax but sliced my finger open and almost got stitches on the sharp edge when i was peeling off the can. now i just dont ride pegs. no more bad wax experiences..

hey thats pretty cool
but do you leave some of the pop in the can when you put the wax into it? or do you just will it with how ever much you need?
somebody let me know which it is, at halosniper176@yahoo.com
