Hailing from one of the coolest scenes in BMX—Salt Lake City—comes this month’s pick for Ride’s Pro Q&A reader letters section, Cam Wood. This is your chance to ask Cam about anything you’d like. you take some pretty nasty spills, like trying to jump onto about a bike length top of an electrical box at high speed, and fall hard over and over until you nail a tree. do you ever just decide that you gotta stop with some tricks before anything bad like that happens, or is that what it take to stop you? shred on!

Hey Cam Wood, I thought your part in That’s It was sick and when I saw a photo in one of your bike checks a while ago of you dropping a huge set of stairs onto an upslanted road, I had one question? How the heck do you do drops to flat correctly? Is there a method to do them safely? I thought that you would have a bit of experience in this category so if you could write a little to explain the concept of drops it would be sick!-Javaun C.B.

do you feel it is more important for kids to be influenced by local riders? or riders they havnt ever met before and just see in videos. i feel when kids look up to their local shredders they become a more original rider.
